Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

SpraViva Institute of Languages (“SpraViva”, “we”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. Our website is available to people around the world, and we apply the same high standard of protection to every visitor, wherever you are. This policy explains what information we collect when you use spraviva.com, how we use it, and the rights you have — under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data-protection laws such as India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Who we are

SpraViva Institute of Languages is a language education institute based in Vilnius, Lithuania, and is the data controller for the personal data described here. For any privacy question, contact us at spravivainstitute@gmail.com. Our registered company details will be added to this policy upon completion of registration.

What we collect

We have deliberately built this website to collect as little personal data as possible.

  • Information you choose to share. If you contact us by WhatsApp, email, Instagram or Facebook, we receive what you send us (such as your name, contact details and message) so we can reply and help you enroll.
  • Usage analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly service that measures aggregated, anonymous traffic (such as page views and country). It does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites or collect personally identifiable information.
  • On-device storage. Our free practice tools (flashcards, saved vocabulary, daily streak) save your progress in your browser's local storage, on your own device. This data stays on your device, is not sent to us, and you can clear it any time in your browser.
  • Search statistics. We use Google Search Console to see how our pages perform in Google Search. This gives us only aggregated, anonymized statistics.

We do not operate any sign-up, account or payment system on this website, and we do not sell your data to anyone.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and our analytics are cookieless. We use only essential, functional browser storage (local storage) to make the practice tools work — for that reason a cookie-consent banner is not required.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiries and help you enroll.
  • To understand, in aggregate, how the website is used so we can improve it.

Our legal bases under Article 6 of the GDPR are: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) when you choose to contact us; performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b)) when your enquiry concerns enrollment; and our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) in operating, securing and improving the website using aggregated, anonymous statistics.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of trusted providers, whose own privacy policies also apply:

  • Vercel — website hosting and privacy-friendly analytics.
  • Google — Search Console and Google Business Profile.
  • Meta (WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook) — the channels you may use to contact us.

International transfers

Some of our providers (Vercel, Google, Meta) may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where this happens, transfers are protected by safeguards recognised under the GDPR, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Data retention

We keep messages and enquiries only for as long as needed to assist you and to maintain reasonable business records, after which they are deleted.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, to withdraw consent at any time, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email spravivainstitute@gmail.com — we will respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the State Data Protection Inspectorate of Lithuania (Valstybinė duomenų apsaugos inspekcija, vdai.lrv.lt).

International users and your local rights

Because we welcome students from many countries, your own national data-protection law may also apply to how we handle your data, and we will respect the rights it gives you:

  • European Economic Area / UK: the GDPR (and UK GDPR) rights described above apply.
  • India: under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may request access to, correction or erasure of your personal data, nominate another person to exercise your rights, and raise a grievance. We act as a Data Fiduciary for such data and will address grievances within the time required by law. You may contact our grievance point at spravivainstitute@gmail.com.
  • Other countries: if your local law grants you data-protection rights, contact us and we will honour the equivalent rights wherever we reasonably can.

Whatever country you are in, you can always reach us at spravivainstitute@gmail.com to exercise your rights.

Children

The minimum age to use an online service on your own varies by country — for example 14 in Lithuania, up to 16 in some EU states, and 18 in India under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. If you are below the applicable age in your country, you should use this website only with the consent of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal data from a child without the consent required by their local law. If you believe a child has provided us data without such consent, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the most recent version.
